I now expect to be greeted by 11 broody hens tomorrow. I guess you all made it sound so interesting and exciting that I caught the bug. chicken bark Posted March 16, 2011 Author Share Posted March 16, 2011 The incubator arrived today so I have gone ahead and ordered my eggs. I've gone for Salmon Faverolles and Silver Laced Wyandotte eggs. I've also spent some time building a brooder for when they grow out of the plastic crate but still need heat. It's a bit of a rough and ready job but it was built using bits from a broken run and some wood I found at my Mum's house. (Don't worry it wasn't her wardrobe! ).
