Following all your bad influences I have just purchased a Octagon 20 incubator.

 

Getting excited about the patter of little chickie feet now.

I was all set to buy the same incy as yours but somehow a bigger one ended up in my basket.

 

I now expect to be greeted by 11 broody hens tomorrow.

The incubator arrived today so I have gone ahead and ordered my eggs.

 

I've gone for Salmon Faverolles and Silver Laced Wyandotte eggs.

 

I've also spent some time building a brooder for when they grow out of the plastic crate but still need heat. It's a bit of a rough and ready job but it was built using bits from a broken run and some wood I found at my Mum's house. (Don't worry it wasn't her wardrobe! ).
