chickenopolis
After getting over a moult, Flo laid her first egg this year today - I was so pleased, and she has turned into a completely different chicken After both her and Gloria decided to have a dust bath in my nice raked raised beds (that were raked over and waiting for my courtgette plants), and leaving 2 MASSIVE hen bum dents and chooks with muddy feet. They are now rootling about in the part of the garden that had a nice small decorative stones in it, and they are using it like a pumice treatment for their feet - they are just not stopping...left foot down, right foot down...scooch back.... Their feet are now lovely and clean, but really.....This isn't a health spa!! What next, I expect you will want me to bring you some cut up grapes with some mealworms........ Benaberry
don't forget they'll probably also want you to sit there fanning them whilst they eat the grapes My girls actually did a great job raking the garden and turning over the old veg bed for me - maybe I should have let husband think I'd done all the hard work?
