lougarbard
Sadly my little Welsummer bantam died yesterday, I had taken her out from the others a couple of days before becasue she was not looking good, so I was prepared, but still sad as she was one of my original trio. But today, my last hen came into lay, and gave me a lovely and quite large brown egg, so that has cheered me up again! And a new colour egg for me. I wasnt sure what colour she would lay as she was a cross, so am very chuft!

WitchHazel
Sorry to hear about your Welsummer. Being prepared helps, but it's still sad. And the fact that she was the ast of your original 3 gives it even more significance (or at least it did when it happened to me). How lovely that your latest girl came into lay at the same time.
