Bramble
Has anyone done this? Any thoughts or tips you can offer for a rather anxious wanna be jogger, please?
bluekarin
I haven't but would be interested to hear about it. I find even walking fast hurts my shins - shin splits I think - but I have recently started to think about taking up jogging.
Bramble
Well it looks quite promising, I'm very self conscious about even trying to run in "public" but there are lots of people who seem to have manged it doing this program, so fingers crossed. It's worth googling it, as the website is quite helpful.
bluekarin
I've just had a look and it does look very interesting. I'll need to get an mp3 player as I don't have one as well as some trainers. I'm with you on the running in public thing - too many wobbly bits for my liking so really I do need to do this to stop this from happening. Bramble
I've already got the MP3 and the trainers, so no excuses really! Seriously though, you don't need to spend very much at all on an MP3, just to get you started, we can always buy something more fancy when we start training for our first marathon!!! Good luck! sparkysmum
Come and join us in the running diary thread. Set your target & I'm sure ANH will add it, then we can keep you inspired and motivated So the theory goes

Set your target & I'm sure ANH will add it, then we can keep you inspired and motivated So the theory goes Thank you sparkysmum I did my first couch to 5k "run" last night, a total of eight minutes of running with short walks in between, small steps, but it did feel like a MASSIVE achievement when I'd done it. Don't feel too bad this morning, feet are a bit sore, but the rest of me feels ok. Next run is tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes (just feel INCREDIBLY embarrassed trying to "run" in public, so went out under cover of darkness last night )
