beach chick
Muffin, my silkie has one leg which is considerably bigger - and whiter than the other (she's black, so her legs are normally grey-ish). this has just developed over the last week... I was thinking scaley leg, but would it affect just one leg and not both? I will try and take some pics tomorrow, but basically, from a couple of feet away, her right leg looks a bit crusty and much 'fatter' than the other one. I have just noticed that she prefers to stand on the 'healthy' leg, so there is clearly something going on. none of the other girls have anything similar. going out in the morning, so can pick up some scaley leg spray if that's the general consensus? thanks in advance... beach chick
cant find the camera. but have treated as if scaly leg, and also frontlined everyone... should I spray the other girls' legs as a precaution? thanks.
Christian
It wouldn't do any harm. My neighbours routinely spray all their Pekin Bantams legs once a once after one development scaly leg mite.
beach chick
thanks christian, I think I will do. Muffin seems much more comfortable today, using the leg more, so I think it wont do any harm to do all the others just in case, and repeat hers on Thursday.
