chuckmum6
I had one broody Wyandotte yesterday (Sage who is too young at 9 months) and now Doily is all puffed up and squawking at me (she hatched out a chick last year). The nest box is fully of grumpy hormonal feathery pancakes! I guess the other girls will be having a hard time getting into lay. Has anyone else got broodys? I am considering hatching a couple of chicks, but not now though, I was thinking in a couple of months. Sage and Doily will be cooling their heels this weekend in the spare run! fluffy chick
I had 3 broody not long ago!! I'm no help I'm afraid except one was last to go broody and still somehow managed to get in to lay. Don't know how but she must have been determined!

chuckmum6
I had one hen who was persistently broody on and off from early May to October last year. I just put her in a run with no bottom for 3 days and she would give up, be okay for a week or so and then go broody again - I will be doing the same again with these two! However if I have a broody around May ..... !!!!!
