fluffy chick
I didn't think I'd like the egg skelter (thought I'd have it hidden in a cupboard) but love it when it's full of eggs! Why don't you like them out of interest? In answer to your question I looked for ages until I gave in and bought the skelter (please I did now though!) Why don't you like them out of interest? In answer to your question I looked for ages until I gave in and bought the skelter (please I did now though!) I find it takes up a lot of space and mine only sits evenly when full but most of all I find it terribly fiddly to place my eggs on it correctly but I do have arthritis and my hands and fingers are particularly stiff so more my deficiency than that of the skelter
sadietoo
My egg skelter is actually for bantam eggs, because that's what I originally had, but now I have two big girls and the eggs still sit on there... unfortunately our kitchen is a bit too hot for the eggs to be out all year, and so it has been moved to the fridge , and it is a bit fiddly I agree, (but mostly because it has to sit under a half shelf with the leading edge to the back of the fridge or the door won't close )...I know it's a boring suggestion, but can you get hold of those big compressed cardboard sheets with egg niches in them, that our local farm shop uses for their eggs( beg steal borrow swap for a couple of eggs..?) If not I'm guessing the ceramic ones that look similar are too big???
