coco
Saffron my cream legbar is about 11 months old and hasn't started to lay yet. She has been ill recently which may have delayed laying, I'm beginning to wonder if she is ever going to start though. Has anyone else had a late starting chook. JillM
I got my cream legbars from Wernlas and they advised me that they would start laying at around 25 weeks, and they started the day after they got here! Maybe she'll start once it's a bit warmer since she has been ill?
Barkisland
Mine started around 28 weeks, but only laid for one summer.
Snoxy
Gertrude, my beautiful Magpie hybrid didn't start laying until she was around 17 months old! I was convinced she was never going to lay...but one day she started...truly amazing
furball
Sorry i can't be of any help as mine was laying when i got her, but she was late laying this year and my leghorn only started laying the day after the clocks went forward. My leghorn only laid for 3 weeks last year before she stopped for winter.
