Awful to deal with - one of our hens was really laid into to the point of canabalism

We have struggled for nearly 2 years. Bumper bits have been the only solution. The anti-peck just didn't seem to do the trick. The bits, whilst tricky to get on, worked almost immediatley. The bullied hen seemed to realise that the agressive behaviour couldn't be followed through.

Once the bits come off they need to be replaced immediately, otherwise in my experience it all starts again within a day or two :wall:

we are also going through our first bullying experience having had the ladies since September last year. One of them has had a moult and therefore has quite a lot of bare skin - her feathers are beginning to come through now though, thank goodness. BUT, the bare skin has been spotted and pecking is now taking place :( To be fair, it's too bad but still not nice. I have sprayed her with the anti-pecking spray but there still is some blood, pecking etc... She doesn't seem too traumatised by it though. I am intrigued about the bumper bits though - presumably you put them on the bully (ies) to stop them - where do you get them from?? Also, if pecking is happening would another option be to separate her from the others :?:
