karlotta
Being the eternal pessimist, I'm setting up the brooder just in case my broodys don't do what they should next weekend (bantam eggs under a pekin and hoping to smuggle runner duck eggs/babies under a brahma bantam at the eleventh hour!) and for the second year running I think I must have thrown away my brooder thermometer with the bedding at the end of my last brooder-lot. So I need my third thermometer! I've always picked one up on ebay in the past but can't find one at the mo... Flytes don't seem to have one either! Any ideas where else I can try!? Tweety
Alpha hatch, SPR and Ascott sell them online.
Redwing
I must admit to not using one, the chicks will soon tell you if its too hot or too cold with the noise they make and how close or far apart they are
karlotta
I must admit to not using one, the chicks will soon tell you if its too hot or too cold with the noise they make and how close or far apart they are I was thinking of giving that a go instead of bothering, maybe if I see one locally I'll pick one up but otherwise not worry too much! Thanks everyone!
