Sam Posted April 10, 2011 Share Posted April 10, 2011 Hello I've had my eglu for about 6 months ( ) and I clean it every saturday/sunday. I read on here the other day that it only takes them about 3 minutes to clean theirs... but it takes me a lot longer! I totally dismantle mine and clean everything, hose it all done, scrub it all down, then hose then dry it all. How do you all clean yours? percy049 Posted April 10, 2011 Share Posted April 10, 2011 I clean mine every sunday. I take the droppings tray and perches out most weeks, clean them and the base of the house. Every two months, i completely take it apart and clean the whole house (roof and all!). It probably takes me 10-15 minutes to clean it, then i usually leave for 2 hours to dry in the sun, and to kill off any remaining bacteria. I don't know how it could only take 3 minutes!
