Tweety
What are you using to candle your eggs emmastar? I used a Brinsea Ova View and found it to be really good.
sip344
Hi, I am in Bramhall, and am currently trying to hatch some eggs as well. I have the Brinsea Ova View if you would like to try it. Tonight I heard chirping from one, so I think I have got the days wrong because I thought this would be my last day of turning. I now have my fingers crossed that they will be ok with the humidity and the fact they have been moved, talk about falling at the last hurdle. Wish you luck with it. emmastar
Ty all im using the ovaview myself and upon doing it less than 5 min ago i now know i have 2 little ones live and kicking , 1 is a silkie and the other is a cross that we have no idea on so this should be exciting for me There is a polish , silkie and grey big guy in the pen with a load of mixed girls , the egg is double the size of the silkies eggs and it a light sandy colour , The silkie looks to be growing well and looking on youtube vids looks the corect size but the other egg looks further on , this could be that the hen was sitting on the egg that i have and it was going to be discarded of but i asked for it to fill the bator up , it had been removed for about an hour so the guy said it probabley wouldnt hatch but it is alive and moving about well , Q will it be ok with the turning if my silkie egg still being turned if it more advanced on ? and how long do i leave the other eggs ??? Also anyone close wanting to come have a brew and talk chuks for a but is welcome ,
sip344
Hello again, I would like a brew and chat. I think my husband would like a break from me talking about the eggs to him all the time. Have you decided which coop you are going for yet? Anna hopefully on there way. P.S. I wish I could be more help, I was told stop turning 3 days before hatching and up the humidity. I don't seem to have the days right so I have my fingers crossed.
