Best liner/ bedding for drop tray

My MIL has just had Flash and one hen to stay for three days while hubby and I were away.

She got 5 eggs

Do you think an egg laying cockerel may be his own golden goose? or mine for that matter?

 

I did drop them off first thing and picked them up last so it's possible, just tickled me

I separated off my cockerel from the rest of the gang a while back and had three eggs in his pen over the following week

 

The bedding was a day or so old and a little group of bantams had been sharing that run which had no nest box so I am guessing that Albion dug the eggs out of the bedding

 

Was a heck of a shock though
