BeckyBoo
Hi there, 4 weeks ago tomorrow I sat our Indian game Bird on two goose eggs that we'd been given (long story!) Well, today went down to turn them for the last time (hens can't manage to turn geese eggs as they're so flippin big ) and eldest daughter says - "Mum, is that a crack in the shell?" And sure enough there's a crack in one!! So we stared and stared, and then both eggs WOBBLED and THEN we heard one of the CHEEP!!! Twice!!! I know you can't count them until they're hatched (there's still lots can happen to prevent a successful hatch) but I am BESIDE myself with excitement!!! So fingers crossed in a day or so we might have two Toulouse geese!! I know NOTHING about geese other than these have been described variously as "a galleon in full sail", "Margaret Rutherford with feathers" or "a tub of lard on legs!" Griffin
Ooooooo good luck! I know nothing about ducks or geese, when will they need to go in water? I don't suppose a washing up bowl will do will it?
