RIP Bluebell

Recommended Posts

Sorry to hear about Bluebelle.

I think you were right not to push for a replacement for Bluebelle, simply because Introducig one bird to 3 would be very traumatic for the newbie.

You probably could get 4 in a Classic, especially as yours are out to free range so much, but it is quite a lot. I think Omlet market them as being suitable for 2-3 hens; if I had 4, I'd make sure the Eglu door was open at night so they didn't overheat.

Cube is the way to go..

Four hens is fine in an Eglu Classic. I have 4 in one and there is plenty of room. At one stage I had 6 in there as they chose to leave my Eglu Go empty and all pile in together instead. It was a bit of a squash but it was their choice! I'd get another 2 if I were you! :D

I've got 4 hybrids in my eglu classic and they all fit nicely, and the eglu is designed to be cool in the summer and warm in winter...

I only have two hybrids in my classic - but when they roost there is loads of space for two more (open the egg port after they have gone to bed and have a look!) it's the outside space that stops me having more - as I have to leave them in the Eglu run from time to time.
