beach chick Posted May 29, 2007 Share Posted May 29, 2007 we went to the local Rare Breeds Trust today, and saw some magnificent Sussex chooks. they were about 3 times the size of my girls! (who are Silver Sussexes). will mine get that big? they are currently 18-19 weeks old, bit worried if they are going to grow into something the size of a small turkey!! chelsea Posted May 29, 2007 Share Posted May 29, 2007 we had our girls from quite tiny young 8 weeks old. Ours arent sussex's - but our chickens are now really big girls. Once our chickens started to lay (about 25/26 weeks) they started to eat more and grew more. hopefully someone with a sussex will let you know about their girls.
