Does any one know where I could get good stock of Sablepoot's from either as young chicks or hatching eggs? I am wary of buying eggs from eBay and don't really know any local breeders in my area (LE14, Leicestershire). Any help may go some way to relieving my recent flare up of morehens disease!

Hi. Have a look at bevs rare breed poultry. Try googling her She is in south Cheshire.. If you email her and see if she has any eggs... I think she said she is not adding any more to her waiting list for pol hens, as she has too many waiting already.. But she might be able to post you some hatching eggs... I hatched some 8 weeks ago and they are lovely:) and bev is really helpful... If you can't get them from her she will know where to go
