They are only 19 weeks old so I wasn't expecting any of them to start laying yet, though they all crouch for me but I was putting that down to the fact that they all get a morning cuddle so were used to being handled. Violet, the light sussex has the most developed comb so I guess it was her who laid it, I'll try and keep a close eye on the coming and goings to the nest box but its a bit dificult as its tipping down here and the eglu run is all covered up. Despite my most valiant efforts I wasn't able to sneak over and catch the culprit lay the 2nd egg this morning. Will try again tomorrow.
