Smart Feeder - Light sensor values

I have just lost a second chicken within 3 weeks. Prior to the second, I ordered 5 hybrids which will be delivered in a couple of weeks. I did plan to get the 5 when we still had 4 chickens, which would have been a pretty even match for introductions. My question is that now I'm planning on putting 5 new ones in with 2 older ones does this create problems. I know things can go well or it can take a while but will this introduction problematic.

 

I have just added a decent enough sized run onto the cube run (i'll post a picture soon) and kept the end on the cube run to be able to section them off, so either way I'll still get the other 5. An idea I had was to buy another 2 in the next couple of days, hope they introduced well and then when I introduce the other 5 in a couple of weeks, they'll be a flock of 4 meeting a flock of 5. All make sense?

 

Any advice appreciated.

I would stick with just adding the 5, rather than two different introductions as even if the first intro goes well there will be fighting to sort the pecking order out and then there will be more stress/fighting on the second intro.

I would just do the slow introduction and enjoy getting to know them as they get to know each other
