Flubenvet - how often?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys.. been away for a while. Just want to get up to date on using Flubenvet. I normally give to my girls in a grape - this was advised when I first started using the forum. Just can't remember how often? I've got some new 8 week olds, the lovely lady I bought them from advised I worm them in a couple of weeks. When should I give them their 2nd dose? In 3 or 6 months time?? :? Any advice would be great, thanks. :D

Hi Louise, it is best to give it to them in their feed so that they each take in as much as they need, for example, for their size. They then take the right amount throughout the day. just make sure you mix it well into their feed.

It is advisable to treat every 3 months especially if they free range.

Thank you guys - very helpful! Just as I thought. I found an older message which was really helpful with amounts etc. Oh it's lovely to be back!! :) Anyone got any ideas why a couple of my little ones have yellow foamy pooh?? :? Only had them since Saturday, wondered if it could be a bit of stress or different food!!?? Any ideas?

Hi, thanks for your replies re: the yellow poo!! I wouldn't have said she's had any stress. She seems very lively and inquisitive - she's lovely!! Sounds like it could be the caecal droppings - never heard of that, very interesting. Thanks Plum. Is this quite normal then? I've never had chickens quite this young before so want to make sure I'm doing it right! Hope that makes sense!!

Thanks again everyone .
