Heidi-Hi
Hi, I've got 4 chicks. 2 is almost 7 weeks, 1 is almost 6 weeks, and 1 is almost 5 weeks They were all together under heat, then the two eldest were 'hardened' off, and is now happily living in a big guinea pig hut and run with all the big chickens. The two youngers ones are in the garage, under heat only at night. When they are ready to go outside, could they go back in with the older ones? Will they remember each other and love each other? They would have been apart for about 3 weeks. Anyone else done this before? Thanks!
Egluntyne
I think you will have to take it cautiously, as they are unlikely to welcome each other with open wings.
Redwing
Be cautious as Egluntyne says but they should be ok, chicks rarely give each other a hard time and are pretty chilled out most of the time Just keep an eye on things

Guest
they will have a bit of a peck but thats to create a pecking order best advice i would say is just keep an eye on them and if one is bullying the rest take it out leave it on its own for a couple of days and put it back in with the others as it will go down to the bottem of the pecking order
