beach chick
my neighbour gave me one today - anyone know what they need? I think they are of Indian origin, off to google etc but never had one before and there is no substitute for real experience!
Redwing
Cannas need full sun if they can get it, plenty of water but reasonably well drained ground, they do well in pots, there are lots of different ones 'Tropicanna' being probably the most well known, my fave is 'Lucifer' The top will die back at the first frosts, you can lift the rhizomes and store them over winter and replant in spring or leave them in the ground and cover with mulch (although they may not make it through a very cold winter) Also called 'Indian Shot Plant'
