Our POL Hens arrived yesterday amid great excitement. OH unfortunately on a business trip in London so missed the first night time drama when one of the girls decided she'd like to sleep at the top of the ladder, half in and half out of the pop hole. Every time son tried to gently move her in she shifted her position so that we couldn't get her into the coop. Eventually he was a little more firm and in she went....a big relief as cowardy custard here is a bit of an ornithophobe and isn't quite up to more than gentle stroking of the hens yet.

 

This morning our lovely girls had produced two eggs. Gertie, Florence, Yvette and Mimi....we salute you. Very much looking forward to those later....saving them for OH's return tonight.

It may take them a while to figure out where they need to sleep, hope they are all settled now and you're now getting 4 eggs a day
