Looking ahead to winter when all the girls stop laying and there are no eggs , I wondered if anyone has tried this. Just read about it in Practical Poultry magazine and thought it could be a good idea, to start preserving in a month or two while eggs are still plentiful.

 

Any good - or bad - experiences at all ??

I haven't tried it, but there's a 'recipe' in 'Hens in the Garden, Eggs in the Kitchen' I believe, so it must be do-able. Not sure where my copy is but I'll see if I can dig it out.
