dance in the dark
Ok, so I have been raising three lovely little cream legbar chicks, who are fast approaching five weeks. Mostly everything has been fine and dandy, but I just have one slight worry. Sometimes I see the chicks pecking at poo on the floor, and in some cases trying to eat it. They ALWAYS have fresh food and I change the water at least twice, if not more a day, they have what I understand is plenty of space at this age (a bit over two square feet each) and are overall very happy, active birds. I clean most of the poo out on a daily basis, so I am not sure what to do. Am I just being overprotective and should I just put up with it to some extent and keep up with their waste as best I can? Or is it something to worry about? Cheers, Tim
