Minnie&Moose Posted July 8, 2011 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Magda, our cochin, is adamant she wants chicks. I'm adamant she can't have them. She's been in the broody cage now for 3 days & nights, but still made a beeline for the nest box when I let her out this morning to test the situation. So, she's back in the cage, muttering to herself. How long can I leave her in there (she does have food, water, a pekka block and some greens)? Although it's a big cat basket, she's a big hen, and I'm concerned that she's very cramped. I have been letting her out for about 20 mins twice a day to stretch her legs. Any advice welcome. Thanks.
