Another broody question!

Magda, our cochin, is adamant she wants chicks. I'm adamant she can't have them. She's been in the broody cage now for 3 days & nights, but still made a beeline for the nest box when I let her out this morning to test the situation. So, she's back in the cage, muttering to herself. How long can I leave her in there (she does have food, water, a pekka block and some greens)? Although it's a big cat basket, she's a big hen, and I'm concerned that she's very cramped. I have been letting her out for about 20 mins twice a day to stretch her legs. Any advice welcome. Thanks.
