It will cause the other hens ( if you have any) to peck at her, and may become a focus for infection. Re the mucky bum ... has she been wormed? Stevie Adams Posted July 9, 2011 Share Posted July 9, 2011 This seems to be quite a common thing, I had the same thing with Patsy this week. I'd used some lubricant (we all have some lying around I'm sure ) and then gave it a gentle tug. Just make sure you support her vent to stop her prolapsing.
