I'd clean her up and gently remove the egg. It will cause the other hens ( if you have any) to peck at her, and may become a focus for infection.

having tried to clean her, and on closer inspection the egg is still slightly inside her bottom. its not fully out, is it safe for me to pull it out, or how can i make her lay it properly?

This seems to be quite a common thing, I had the same thing with Patsy this week. I'd used some lubricant (we all have some lying around I'm sure ) and then gave it a gentle tug. Just make sure you support her vent to stop her prolapsing. Patsy was really thankful, I could tell, and she was helping with the job by pushing.

Sounds like you may be using a herbal supplement. Have you wormed them with Flubenvet?
