Mollie333
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2021238/Thinking-keeping-hens-garden-Heres-chicken-out.html Not sure if I agree on what she is saying. It's true what shes saying but my girls, and boys, are my much loved pets. Too us, eggs are just a bonus. They bring life to the garden and i can't imagine life without my little Bantams and big girls. It is such a joy to wake up in the morning to friendly chickens, or hatching chicks, or first eggs. Keeping chickens, to me, is a brilliant experience and i think most of you will say the same. Maybe if she didn't know chickens killed gardens before she got them then maybe she didn't do enough research? I don't understand how you have to pick - chickens or garden - i have my Chickens in a WIR, and my Mum still has a beautiful garden. I let the chickens out to free range when i'm about, to prevent them from being fox food! So what would you choose, Chickens or Garden? I still think you can have a lovely garden even if you do have chickens. Like i said, in my opinion the girls brighten it up. Moll x
