squiffs
Today is the 'fun day' of the Worthing Birdman competition (most of the 'serious' jumpers competed yesterday, today will be charity jumps and general tomfoolery) - I'm looking forward to it - it's a good free day out on the beach - probably very funny too. They also show a film on big screen mid afternoon for the kiddywinks (I think it's 'shark's tale' this year...) Anyone else in Sussex going? http://www.worthingbirdman.co.uk/
Omletina Kyckling
OOoh I used to live in Worthing, but don't think they had it in those days.......bit far for me to come now! Have fun!
Daphne
Another free day on a beach in Sussex is the Eastbourne air show (last day today). We went yesterday and amongst other things saw 2 women wingwalkers doing extraordinarily scary things, sometimes without harnesses, either the RAF or the RN jumping out of planes and landing on a giant X on the beach, and a massively noisy amazingly shaped fighter jet swooping about with an old WW2 plane - majestic and awe inspiring Today the Red Devils will be there too

But they do charge (about 12 pounds in 2006 or 2007? but I do love it, it's much the same, and I love vampires, someone always obliges with a flypast Birdman was amazing! So funny and heartwarming seeing all the people doing it for charity it started in 2008 when bognor's had to stop due to a short pier - bognor started doing it again and worthing kept going after that! I hear it costs 60k a year to run! A lovely day on a deckchair on the beach
