How long do LF Suffolk eggs take to hatch? I am expecting 21 days rather than the 18 days my bantams hatched at would those who have hatched them agree? My broody Pekin has sat on them since 1st August.

I was hoping for some jubilee Orpingtons, but am really gutted they were duds , oh well maybe next year.

Yes the usual 21 days, although after turning stops it can be any time! I've had LF hatch early & others that have hatched at nearly 25 days. Whatever, stop turning at 18 days no matter what. You say your pekin sat from 1st August. So that would be day 0. So turning would stop on Friday 19th. Anytime from then really - realistically from Monday 22nd will be hatching. You'll know because she will be fidgety & pecking underneath her. You'll hear cheeping too!

Thanks! She had booted one of her eggs out this morning, it was the one I wasn't too sure about when I candled, it was a dud, mum knew best! Shouldn't be too long if she can sense life, I'll need to stock up on my chick feed ASAP!!!!
