Snowy
Has anyone tried this? Do you need a top of the range USB turntable, or do the cheaper ones work just as well? We have inherited a huge mound of vinyl and there are some great old albums that I would love to get onto MP3. Am just wary of buying a cheap turntable and finding out I need to upgrade it because it's no good!
Clash City Rocker
I bought an "Ion Turntable" from Amazon fo about £50.00. It was easy to install and use. The downside to converting vinyl to MP3 is the time each track takes, you have to play each track to convert it !!! and then transfer it to iTunes, so a 3 minute pop song takes around 5 minutes to convert. I spent most of last winter coverting and album per night (about an hour each).
Snowy
Cheers Clash - seeing as it's the son who has these albums, it can be his job! We will just have to be selective I think
Chucky Mama
OH did ours, it was easy enough but time consuming.
