Alis girls
Got another today called Maggie. She has more white than my other two and laid an egg this pm! What a racket she made - then the cat walked by and another bok bok BOKKKKINGGGGGGG! OMG what will the neighbours think. The other 2 stared at her through the wall of canes. My others hardly say a word not even when laying. Can I muzzle her
angie39
Hi, One of my old pair makes the bok bokking noise when she has laid and my 2 new girls both do it the way I look at it is there are dogs barking, crows crowing and lots of other natural noises going on around neighbourhoods that a few noisy bok booking chickens should not be too much of a problem, take some eggs round to your neighbours and tell them that's what is produced when they hear the noise I'm sure they won't be too bothered especially if they get a few lovely fresh eggs now and again
Alis girls
Yes you are right - she is very affectionate and sat and fell asleep between me and OH this pm. My 2 others have never like being handled - their sister who died at Easter was ok but they squak like mad. Strange thing they glared daggers at our new hen having a cuddle
