calmbreeze Posted September 7, 2011 Share Posted September 7, 2011 hi i am still fairly new to all this we currently have 3 hens and a cockeral which we were given, soon we will be getting 2 new chicks - 12 weeks old. how old should they be before its safe to leave them with the others - its possible for us to keep them apart for a while, but i am wondering for how long? hope someone can help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Snowy Posted September 7, 2011 Share Posted September 7, 2011 They will need to be kept apart for quite a few weeks - at least until they are as big as the others, so probably about 6 weeks. make sure you read all the info on introductions and take it slowly.
