Take part in study on PFAS 'forever chemicals' in eggs

We have 3 lovely girls that have hardly missed a day laying since we had them 3 months ago , but yesterday was a bonus day .

I could not believe it In the nesting box 3 Double yolkers the largest being 115 grams . I have had 2 before both from but never the others

So was it the chopped up broccalli was it the windfalls they have been pecking at

The only thing that concerns me about this surely this can not be good for them in the end.

My OH wants to know if they had been hatched would they have been twins

Wow what a hat trick!

I think it was pure luck rather than anything they ate (otherwise the commercial producers would have discovered and exploited it long ago )

Certainly laying lots of large eggs could harm them in the long term but the odd double yolker won't.
