Mrs Frugal
We had such a hectic night with parents evening and a careers night for my eldest that pancakes have had to be postponed until the weekend - great protestations were heard but it couldn't be helped. Looking forward to a flipping good Saturday instead ! Edited February 9, 2005 by Guest
SarahJo
I missed the request ... and was painting faces at the Valentines disco .. so we did not have Pancakes last night . Nicola H
We had pancakes but I dare not enter another comp. for a T-shirt we already have 2 and I think I was the only one to have a egg and spoon race apart from the Omlet team that is. The T-shirt on offer this time is a pink one and if they are as tight fitting as the Olive ones I won't be able to get it over my head....... Lesley
Hmmm..... I know how you feel Nicola. I don't think I shall enter any more competitions until there is a Super Dooper XXXXL size so that it might fit me!! They'd probably only need one, just for me
Bill
Pancake day is Feb 2 here We didn't make any as we're still waiting for our first egg. Emily is definitely getting red around the comb, though not much distance between the bones at present.
Mrs Frugal
Those eggs will be along soon, Bill, and they'll be that much better for the waiting! Let us know when the big day arrives, won't you .
Nicola H
Bill hope you get eggs soon the pancakes taste so much nicer I used 3 eggs in my batter and seemed to feed all the neighbours kids as well as mine everybody agreed the pancakes tasted fab........ Lesley I need the xxxxL T-shirt as well I am thinking of ordering a mens for me that should fit. I asked Jeff if I could have an Omlet T-shirt for valentines day instead of flowers and he said I was thinking of getting you a cream legbar, see I told you it would not take long with my powers of persuasion. So it is hard at work this weekend to prepare the run. How do you go about ordering the hens from Broadway I presume you have to make an appointment............ Mrs Frugal
Nicola, I need you to come and work your persuasive powers on my hubby! I keep asking for hen number 3 for my birthday/anniversary/valentines/buy the flaming thing myself but he keeps saying no. What can I do - let me know the secret to your persuasion technique! Nicola H
Kate it took a lot of sweet talking and foot stamping but he is a big softy at heart and loves Babs and Ginger so 1 more won't be much more trouble, and my dad who is a joiner and loves the chickens too is helping to make the run. Lesley thanks for the info. will email them ASAP.
Lesley
The men's sizes are somewhat ummm.... small as well! It's all these pancakes!! There is a programme on C4 tonight about how scientists believe that a virus is responsible for making 30% of Americans obese! - I told you there was a reason - I've got a virus I must have caught it last Feb. when we were over there
Nicola H
Lesley just looked at the T-shirts it says will fit size 38-46 chest I know my chest is shall we say large but surely that should fit............ I think I have that virus as well Lesley I am now busy spreading it around, the virus not my chest .............. must watch the program........I will now have an excuse Edited February 9, 2005 by Guest
Lesley
It's not the chest measurement that defeats me - it's the hips! Perhaps because I have a sweatshirt - it has a welt around the bottom - I can't think of another way to put that You know what I mean. Mrs Frugal
I know what you mean too, Lesley. I'm rather expansive in the posterior department - T-shirts don't stick on the hips like sweatshirts do!
