Anyone else having problems with Ebay?

I bought a "buy it now" item last night and Ebay won't let me pay for it, I go through the "pay now" process but then when it asks me to confirm the purchase etc, I get a message "Sorry, we can't complete your request at this time". I contacted ebay last night and they say it's a technical problem at their end, they're aware of it and others are having hte same problem, I've contacted the seller to tell them I'm having a problem, but ebay couldn't give me any idea how long it will take to resolve?

They are generally pretty quick at resolving any techy issues.

You could forward their email on to the seller,maybe?

Thanks Cinnamon! I'm finding the whole thing a bit odd, if lots of people were having this problem (as ebay said on the 'phone) I'd have thought there'd be an announcement, or the discussion boards would be awash with comments etc, but they're not.

So I looked at the seller's feedback and see that although s/he has 99%+ positive and is a top rated seller, s/he has had 40 negative feedbacks in the last month, so I'm wondering if ebay has suspended his/her account? Is that possible?

But I think it would say that the account has been suspended somewhere on their page.

 

Best to message them & explain,I think,& see what you get in response.

Ive messaged seller twice now, first when I realised I was having a problem, then again after I'd spoken to ebay, no reply to either. Can't see on their account that its been suspended or anything ... the mystery deepens ...
