Maximum Bantam Number for a Go

Recommended Posts

I'm planning on buying a Go and standard-size run, but am uncertain exactly how many bantams -- think Frizzles, Swizzles, and Polish -- can live comfortably in that space. I'd like 6 of them, and see that 3-4 regular-size hens are advised. Since there is only one brood box, how does that work too please?

Total newbie. Thanks for any thoughts!

The capacity guidelines are based on the coop not the coop and run - it's the run that restricts you really

I'd say you'd get away with three small bantams in the Go with standard run

I haves classic Eglu in a larger run and six bantams share it they cope fine with only one nest box, I think rough guidelines are one nestbox for every four hens. They just take it in turn to lay and if one is caught short they just lay on the roosting bars
