Nicola O Posted October 6, 2011 Share Posted October 6, 2011 Went to the vets this afternoon with Mille, just for her booster. Millie is a min. poodle and is 16 1/2 years old. She is in fab health and still very lively. Whilst checking her over the vet casually asked me how bad her heart murmur was. Well, Millie doesn't have a heart murmur, so I told her so and the vet was 'practically every toy/min poodle has some degree of murmur by the time they are 10 or 12' She then got her stethescope out to check and the look on her face when she realised I was right was priceless - she apparently has never yet had an older poodle without a murmur.... My dog is 3/4 poodle and has recently been having breathing problems and the vet was worried about her heart, luckily its fine. Its so worrying.
