I am reviewing my broadband package and fancy the BT+vision package, but my current Talktalk package has 40gb allowance and the BT one only has 10Gb. How do I find out what my normal usage is?

Check your talk talk account, it might be on there, if not, give talk talk a ring, they should be able to tell you.

Thanks Fred - I did both of those. Online it says the info is not available, the pleasant chap in the call centre could only tell me that I wasn't going over my 40gb allowance! Wondered if I could access it on the laptop somewhere.

Nevermind, think 10gb would be too little with growing boys anyway. Will go with the the BT unlimited package instead.

I was on BT option 1 when I returned to BT last October; about 25 days in I had an email from them telling me that I had exceed the allowance for the month (damn you Omlet ); now we are on option 2 & this has worked out fine with my son watching films online etc..

plusnet has an online monitor so you can check usage and also has recommendations for levels of package, you could have a look on there.
