Unsecure chicken perches

This is actually a quail question but I reckon the same rules will apply. The run for my quail' coop is exposed and I read somewhere on the forum that someone used a plastic shower curtain to make a roof. Would this be suitable? or has anyone any other ideas? They're happy to pop back into the covered bit during the rain but it rains a lot here and the chip in the run will get drenched so i'd rather get it covered.

You are right vidic, quite a lot of Omleteers use shower curtains to keep the rain out of their runs. If you pop 'shower curtain' in the search box at the top on the right of the screen, you'll find lots of, quite recent, posts about it.

We recently bought some clear tarpaulin and it goes right over their roof and down one side and I'm hoping it will keep them nice and dry all winter, it has done a good job so far.

There is also enough left over to go round the back and a bit under their house ( side) so should keep out any pesky snow.
