Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

....box 1 of 6 has arrived. How exciting, even more so when its all here and we're trying to put it together. The 5 chickens are gonna love it when the rest arrives

How exciting - welcome to the forum. I'm afraid you can't just stop with 'Cube' - we need to know what colour, and what sort of hens you are going to get! It usually arrives all in one delivery, is yours coming in separate bits?

Hi Olly, well we have the 5 chickens already - a Bluebelle, White Star, Light Sussex, Lohman and a Black Rock all around 40 weeks old. They had a wooden coop but we've decided to go plastic. It's a lovely shade of pink, husband wasn't too impressed and my 2 sons know nothing of it. It will add some colour to the garden

I thought they would all come together also, but no just the one box. Delivery guy said the rest will probably be Monday. Would have been nice to put up over the weekend. Will give the husband something to do while he recovers from knee surgery

Well the rest of the boxes arrived today, then an hour later another van turned up with a delivery of 5 boxes that he couldn't find on his van - how bizzare. Well it is all put up now and in situ. Pics will follow when i figure out how to post them, Lovely and pink on a drab day.

Ooh, I would love a pink cube I do have a lovely wooden coop though, so I shouldn't complain I do have the pink glug and grub though - if I ever do get my pink cube, then they will match

Hi Jean i had the OH put it together on his own took him 4 hours or so. Don't know if it would normally take this long for one person but he is recovering from knee surgery. It had the 1 metre attachment as well with it. Had to give him something to do, that way i can work in peace

Thats great. I've got the two metre run and will add an extension next year when I can afford it. I have my OH and my dad volunteering so hopefully with three of us it will be straightforward.
