I tried Aubiose for the first time this weekend and put it in the chicken house. My chickens have been nibbling at it ever since and don't seem to have eaten many pellets. I'm worried they are filling up on Aubiose and won't have room for anything else! Is this dangerous? Will they make themselves ill

Mine are fine with it.

 

Their poo doesn't seem to have bits of Aubiose in it.

 

Are you sure they are not just rootling around and finding insects etc?

no - mine are definately eating it. In fact they are pulling it out the house especially to chomp on it!

I use Hemcore in the poo tray (same as Aubiose) and every time I refill it, the chickens immediately come to the Eglu door and peck away at the bits on the end of the tray! Don't know why, but they seem to love it!

Has anybody use NEDZ bedding? The people I ordered the Hemcore from recommended it. It LOOKS the same as Hemcore anyone have any experience of it in terms of absorbency/chickens eating it/drainage etc?
