scubababe
Just been to clean the coop and have noticed some small blood spots in the trays. There wasn't a lot...literally just a couple the size of a pin head. The girls have lovely red wattles, have been watching me clean the coop and nattering to me and have been eating ok. I've scrubbed out the cube and liberally sprayed it with poultry shield. There was no sign of any creepy crawlies. Any ideas on what it could be? Slightly concerned as I don't want any unwanted squatters!!!!
scubababe
Just had a thought...could it be something as simple as a spot of blood from having a feather pulled out? Caught Ruby pulling out Coral's feathers...and then legging it rather sharpish!!
Wolfie
Sounds like you've worked it out for yourself! Good stockmanship! Have a coffee and a piece of cake - it is Christmas Or another glass of wine ....
