Colloidal sliver for sour crop

Recommended Posts

Hmmm, there are different types of that silver for different uses, so I'm not sure how to advise dosage TBH.

If you can swing her quickly upside down (like to do to clear fluid from a lamb's windpipe, that will clear it (do this outside and don't get it on yourself as it can stink) If you do it quickly then she won't choke.

It'd syringe feed her a couple of mls of neat ACV then try to get some natural live yoghurt down her, the idea is to keep her hydrated. It usually clears pretty quickly unless there is some other underlying health issue. Make sure that they don't eat anything sweet such as breakfast cereal as that can start it off.

Shout if you need anything as I have most things... as you'd imagine!

That the one!

I got some when Fran was very poorly with impacted crop, I made a syringable mixture of cooked veg,

grower pellets and Poultry answer and syringed it four time a day. The vet thought she wouldn't make it but

she laid again on New Years day and has started laying everyday. :D

It contains digestive enzyme, electrolytes as well a probiotic's - I'm a big fan and finger crossed it work for Betty.

She back out with Fran this morning, Feathers where flying for a while (Betty is boss).

They have some Poultry Answer in their food and just plain water as i don't like to mix products.

I think the tonic they where on due to their moult may have caused the sour crop as they where on a strong dosage

and it contains glucose.

I have found that a little Poultry Answer in some water syringed to unwell hen that won't eat does wonders.
