ADT alarms

Recommended Posts

I should say that my experience is from 5 years ago when I lived in my last house. I had an ADT alarm that was monitored so that if it was triggered, and not reset immediately, then the police would be notified.

I had a lot of problems with false alarms, so that the police (quite fairly) notified me that they wouldn't be responding if it went off again, and I wasn't very happy with ADT's customer service - they kept denying that there was a problem, and I had trouble getting someone out for a visit. It has put me off using them again - in fairness however, the alarm worked well to begin with, and it was designed so that the cat would not set it off, even if it jumped on the table or similar. They've probably got improved systems since then, so you might get some better views from others on here.
