Non alcoholic cocktails

Recommended Posts

I am planning my 16year old daughter's birthday party and am going to set the house up as a restaurant for her and 7 of her best friends. They have had menus delivered (via Facebook) for their 3 course meal and I am now looking at making some fancy booze free cocktails. Does anyone have any tried and tested ones that they have used? I know that some of them get quite drunk elsewhere but they don't drink in my house and are happy not to but it would be fun to make some cocktails for them.

Thanks ANH :D They have a dress code which states that they aren't allowed to buy anything new to wear (they are allowed to swap clothes with friends though) They are so excited planning what to wear and whose heels to borrow. I just hate it when girls feel the need to go out and buy new outfits for a party. It puts them under so much pressure, especially with money in short supply.

We also used to have something when my sister and i were younger that was grenadine (pomegranate syrup) with pink lemonade and ginger ale topped with a cocktail cherry and called a Pink Elephant!

What a fabulous idea for a party!

"Drivers' Pimms" - believe it or not, lemonade with a drop of balsamic vinegar in! You can float cucumber, strawberries etc in it so it looks really pretty; one of my friends always does this at summer parties and barbecues.
