Is the forum randomly sending out notifications ??

I got one as well Hazel, but when I checked there were no new posts. It often happens if a spammer has posted and one of the mods has removed the post. It then looks as if you have received it for no reason.

 

Edit: just checked and Egluntyne did indeed remove a spam post from that thread early this morning

I deleted a spammer from this thread first thing.

If you receive a further notification along these lines it will be because a spammer has resurrected an ancient thread, causing a notification if you were watching that particular thread, and we have deleted their post.

 

I would unsubscribe to threads in which you are no longer interested, for the avoidance of inconvenience.
