Sarah 2
At 5am while feeding my baby I heard an all mighty racket from the back garden. I thought it was my chickens planning their great escape. Went back to sleep. Thought nothing of it. But was woken my 2 year old son shreiking with delight. He had let the chickens out into the run and had checked the nest with help from big sister and this is what he found......... I never knew the first egg could be so exciting. My son had a small but lovely yummy lunch. Oh Chick-Polly's egg is the one on the left. The other one is a dodgy medium sized supermarket egg. Sarah 2
Great idea. My son insisted on it boiled. He did share the egg though. how long does it take for them to get bigger?

beach chick
well, Tara has been laying 2 weeks tomorrow, and her first were 45g. they are now 55g. Paris was a week later, and hers are still 45g... so maybe hers will start getting bigger soon. meanwhile, the 2 Sussexes are still lolloping about like teenage girls! definitely advise the cooking test - tis really interesting!
