Purplemaniacs
I know it is for the best but... one of the little pekins had to be dealt with today, it had splayed legs and we tried various methods from the forum but its legs were so small we had little success. I think perhaps it had more wrong with its legs, it had reached the stage that it could not move around without using its wings and was getting a sore tummy so DD's boyfriend sorted it for me. I know it is the kindest thing in the long run but I still feel bad The other pekin with odd legs is doing much better and walking with little problems now. The others are getting much bigger, I can't beieve how much mess they make. Today we have moved them from a brooder box to a large indoor rabbit cage with the electrc hen. Tumble is two weeks old now and the others will be two weeks at the weekend. Some seem to be growing a comb already do you think these will be boys? Redwing
thats a shame Single comb breeds are easiest to sex, Pekins can be sexed very quickly, Welsummers and Anconas will be easy too. Silkies are the hardest!
